About me

Originally from the UK, Graeme, has had the privilege of performing and teaching drums for the past 25 years.
Growing up in South Africa, he developed a unique style which incorporated African Grooves into Rock n Pop styles, which led to him becoming a well-known drummer and percussionist.

From 1995 to 2000, Graeme toured South Africa with well-known bands and artistsincluding, Little Sister, PJ Powers, Ed Jordan, Kreesan, Robin Walsh, Lionel Bastos, Amersham, Karma, Henry Ate, Mean Mister Mustard and many more.

In 2001, he joined the Barnyard Theatre and played numerous tribute shows until 2005.

Graeme moved back to the UK in the winter of 2005 and toured England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales extensively with the Buddy Holly tribute band. This contract led to him joining the Roger Carr Orchestra on-board The Oceana for P&O Cruises.

In 2009, Graeme was invited back to South Africa to once again perform for the Barnyard Theatre, but this time was given more responsibility as co-music director.

Although he toured for many years, he has always been a teacher. His title ‘The Drum Doctor’ was a recognized name in South Africa, and is slowly becoming recognised here in the UAE.

Aside from teaching, Graeme also a member of different bands such as, The Soul Shakers, The Deja Blues Band, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Supernovas, and SkinTight.
